Thank you for listening to the first episode of the Summer Friends Podcast. Mark Krentz, the mayor of LaPorte, Indiana, was kind enough to be my first guest. He allowed me to ask personal questions and interrupt him mid-sentence. He didn't even call me rude, as he should. Mayor Krentz is a fascinating fellow. He can sing. He can dance. He can talk about economic development strategies. Though I don't know this for sure, he can probably do them all together.
Making a podcast is harder work than I expected. Especially when you know little about sound, editing, and interviewing. But, as I publish the first episode, I am now three episodes into recording, and it has gotten better. I'm learning. It's much different than a sermon or lecture.
It's a skill and an art.
It's fun and frustrating.
You need to be creative and interesting and technical and precise.
